Branding
Poetry Slam Israel
Singers, actors, rappers, prophets, freedom fighters, and anyone who can't stay quiet take turns on the stage with spoken-word pieces, spoken poetry, expressions of anger, and monologues from poetic minds.
The poetry slam branding is probably my favorite project :)
Poetry Slam Israel began its activities in 2012 in the most run-down pubs of Jerusalem, as I joined the team as the designer the slam expand to Tel Aviv, Haifa, Be'er Sheva, and the Upper Galilee. Today, dozens of official Poetry Slam events, filled to capacity, take place throughout the country.
Backstory
When envisioning the brand, I aimed for a distinctly handmade appearance in the logos, achieved through a printing technique that conveys the tactile sense of ink on paper.
Font
The chosen font- Omes by AlefAlefAlef was designed to be clear and easily identifiable on various social media platforms.
Typography
The typography structure was crafted to ensure a consistent and easily replicable aesthetic, accommodating date, time, and location seamlessly.
Imagery
As for imagery, it involved a playful blend of ready-made art and inventive collage techniques, adding a fun and unique twist to the visual elements
Brand Highlites
Hand made logo inspired by ink & paper.
Ultimately, I departed from the group to focus on my studio. However, it brought me joy to witness that the other designers comprehended and applied the branding effectively.
They embraced the typography structure and upheld the visual essence of the brand, a continuity that persists to this day.
Social media languge
In the beginning of 2017, a program showcasing the top poets in the scene was aired on Channel 1, and I was responsible for designing the broadcast branding for it as well.
